This section covers the procedures for registering a player to a club within Queensland. A player must have turned the age of 5 prior to registering in a competition. A player can be registered with one club at a time.
Step 1
Ask the participant if he/she has registered via a 2007 FFA registration form (either as a player or match official)
Step 2
If yes:
If a player has been registered at another club refer "re-registering of an amateur player".
If they have registered as an official in 2007 complete the NRR11 - supplementary registration form in full, paying particular attention to question:
Q2 ensure that the previous FFA number is recorded.
Players need to also sign a player insurance benefits form and the date and registration number recorded. This original form is attached to the original registration form.
If no:
Complete the NRR03 - registration of an amateur player form
Step 3
If the player is registering for the first time with that club they need to provide the club with:
•a) Evidence of name and age, by producing an original birth certificate, passport or drivers licence.
•b) Recent photograph (not compulsory)
Complete the form in full taking special note of the following questions:
Q11 Full name of club required
Q13 If the player has been a participant in a FIFA aligned competition overseas the national body is to be recorded.
Q14 If the player has played overseas the full club details are to be recorded and competition of the football Qld request for international clearance is to be completed (not required for players under the age of 12) - refer **** below
Q15 Any registration number e.g. CMC number or Zone ID number
Q16 Details of fees to be recorded
Signing:
When the form is signed by the club official, they are accepting the registration of this player. The identity of the player needs to be confirmed either by confirming previous registration or by sighting a birth certificate, passport or Drivers Licence.
**** International Clearances.
If the player is in need of an International Clearance the registration form can not be signed by the club or registration not accepted until the clearance is requested. The club can forward the ITC request direct to FQ and on receipt of the clearance response from FFA, the club will be notified. The club can then accept the registration and continue to process in the normal manner. A copy of the ITC should be attached to the registration form prior to submitting to CA.

Step 4
On completion of all details on the forms, they should be despatched as follows:
Green - Player
Pink - Club
Yellow - Competition Administrator
Original - Competition Administrator
The Competition Administrators will in turn forward the original to their Zone for on forwarding to Football Queensland.
The insurance forms will be dispatched as follows:
Copy - Player
Original - to be attached to Yellow registration form held by Competition Administrator.
If the supplementary form is used it is despatched as follows:
The club is to take a copy for their records, a copy for the player and forward the original forms to the Competition Administrator. The Competition Administrator will retain a copy and forward originals to zone who will in turn forward to Football Queensland for inputting.
Local procedures may be utilised for the use of the ID card. Please refer to your CA for instructions on the use of the ID card
Eligibility to play will be determined by the Competition Administrators.
